Who's Back: Special Edition

SOUND THE ALARM FOLKS. We have some BREAKING NEWS to share with you this evening on an EXCLUSIVE edition of Who's Back. As you know, Who's Back is usually slotted for Monday mornings but this news out of the University of Alabama calls for a special post. DIXIELAND DELIGHT is back in a huge way everyone. Alabama's Director of Athletics, Greg Byrne, broke the news via Twitter this evening saying that the Alabama hit will be played once again in the 4th quarter at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Now I'm no fan of the Tide but I am a huge fan of this move. Bringing back the song does mean some restrictions however, as Byrne along with current players are reaching out to the fans (mostly the student-body) urging them to "keep it clean." He exclaims that he is doing his part by freeing the song which means that patrons of Bryant-Denny must do their part to show sportsmanship, courtesy, blah, blah, blah. We all goddamn know this ain't it. Fans of the Tide are going to be screaming "Fuck Auburn, and LSU, and Tennessee too" the whole fucking time. There's no way around it. Blasting Dixieland over the speakers and telling people to hold back from the provocative language associated with the lyrics is like bringing a married man to a whore house and expecting him not to cheat. It's ridiculous. Why even bring it back if you can't say the words that made it famous. In the end, this is a major announcement by Alabama and raises one more question: If Alabama can bring back Dixieland, when can LSU bring back Neck? Your move LSU.
