Understanding the Youth

Book smarts vs. street smarts, the great debate. Webster’s may have the words you need to write those lame English essays for class, but Urban Dictionary has the words the need for real life.

Here are the words of the week:

Hit Up

1. To ask someone something. 2. To call someone, contact them. 3. To go somewhere or do something.

1. "You should 'Hit Up' Tommy to see if he stole your buddha." 2. "Yo, 'hit me up' later bruvva." 3. "Let's 'hit up' this Drum and Bass Party tonight."

Badonkadonk

An ‘ebonic’ expression for an extremely curvaceous female behind. Women who possess this feature usually have a small waist that violently explodes into a round and juicy posterior (e.g., 34c, 24, 38). Other characteristics would be moderately wide hips and a large amount of booty cleavage (i.e, depth of butt-crack).

Her badonkadonk made a brotha pop mad wheelies

Clout

Clout is being famous and having influence

Wow - Rice, Mitch, and Banks have hella clout

In the words of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, “Don’t count the days, make the days count.” While he may have applied this to his insane training regimen, it still holds value for your lazy ass too. Do not focus on the number of days you didn’t know these youthful embodiments of the English language, focus on the time you have to understand the degeneracy that is this nation’s youth.
