Well I was wrong about my prediction of the Patriots starting slow. Just thought we could see a bit of a letdown factor after last week's dominating win. Marching straight down the field, Brady and the offense went 75 yards finalized on a hookup to Patterson for Brady's 498th career TD pass. One of the more methodical drives I've seen NE put together in a long time. Edelman looks great getting involved on the first play of the game for a 9-yard pickup and catching 2 more on the series. He did have a wide open drop but we'll give him a pass (not really because he does drop A LOT of balls).
Welcome back Patrick Chung and Trey Flowers pairing up to demolish Luck for a 9 yard sack on the first series for IND. It's been typical Patriots defense under the "bend but don't break" mindset allowing the Colts to pick up yardage but only walk away with 3 points.
We saw Malcolm Brown suffer an injury mid-3rd quarter which is something Patriots fans did not want to see. Although their premium pass rusher Trey Flowers is back from injury as mentioned, it is not great to see Brown go down as he is next in line as a clear second most effective member of the d-line.
Indianapolis is in complete disarray to put it lightly. No T.Y. Hilton, no Jack Doyle, no Marlon Mack, and an onslaught of injuries on the defense. Starting to wonder if they even have enough players on the fucking roster to put in come the 4th quarter. That sideline is looking MIGHTY thin.
Don't worry NFL fans, the Empire is alive and thriving again- IND 3 NE 24 HALF
Luck 14-21 116 YDS 1 INT Brady 23-27 203 YDS 2 TDs
Hines 8 CAR 31 YDS Michel 11 CAR 44 YDS
Rogers 7 REC 63 YDS White 9 REC 74 YDS 1 TD
Take a note
